THE SILK
By: Alessandro Baricco
The story “Silk” by Alessandro Baricco, a romance and dramatic kind of story wherein you can still see the practicality of the real actions on what the characters did. The very lesson this story has taught me is when to let go of people you love, even if you love her in your fullest.

The story is somehow hard to picture-out about a man, Herve Joncour searching for silk for his business and by searching he then reached Japan and met a girl there, then he had a relationship with her. It is so realistic that the man has another lover because life now is like that, and that made the story practical for me. On the side of the man, one thing to learn is to live life not for others but also for yourself because there is always time that you do not feel like what you feel yesterday and that gives you a moral lesson in life.
I've concluded that the story is a good type of genre. It's like that being somehow licked with mystery, and shows one thing appearance of history, tradition and culture of Japan made it interesting and literature material. It shows that we must give importance to our culture because there's a time that our future will dependent on it.
